Proof quality collector's editions of the Maple Leaf were only issued for the 10-year anniversary in 1989. Four sets or compilations of these editions were sold:
a) The Gold Proof Set, containing 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce, and 1/10 ounce. Mintage: 7,000 pieces.
b) Proof Set I, containing 1 ounce gold, 1 ounce silver, and 1 ounce platinum. Mintage: 4,000 pieces.
